PICTURE PROGRESS

As the capital of Kabul fell to the Taliban, one of the first signs Sharia Law was being reintroduced was the removal of public billboards and photography of women. Their identity is being erased.

To help raise money for Women For Women - a non-profit organization providing aid to Afghani women, I created a coloring book as a way for their images to live on, and save past progress from being forgotten.

Picture Progress recreates and immortalizes these images of Afghan women that are being torn down, while also educating people on the uncertainty they now face under Sharia Law.

I raised over $6k for Women For Women and was featured in editorial pieces on the Indiegogo website.
